congratulations to Melanie and John!
they went to Kaui by themselves to get married.
but they came back and had a family and friends reception at Filters Building on White Rock Lake in Dallas when they got back in town.

Melanie, the bride, definitely did a whole lot of design and DIY for the reception.
"I created the center pieces myself using manzanita branches, grapewood, etc. with antiques I picked up here and there. Also some various objects from boutiques, etc. (old postcards, porcelain figures, envelopes, sandwich platters and cake stands, buttons, old bottles...) The ticks (to put in flower arrangements) with guinea feathers that looked like leaves were made by me and my mom-in-law made. Additionally, I made all the pink and gray "mustache(s) on a stick and designed the "Mr. & Mrs." chair signs and through For Your Party, designed the napkins.
Melanie was also kind enough to share a few of her resources and vendors for her reception too.
the following are her etsy resources:
and other vendors include:
Reception Dress: Max & Cleo
Reception Shoes: Steve Madden
Hair/Make-Up: Chi Ro Make-Up and Hair
Catering: Food Glorious Food
Cake: Radford Cakery
Music: DJ Matt P. (Your Special Day DJ)
most importantly though,
the happy couple and adorable details all captured by Nadia from
June Bug Company.
thanks to Melanie and John for sharing!
