it's thanksgiving next week!
my sister and i have been planning a menu for a bit, even though i shan't be there to help her make it, because i fly in like one hour before dinner.
it was all in my evil plan. *cackle*
but i do plan on baking pear pandowdy as my make-up as well as for my sister's boyfriend's birthday and their dog who's turning FIVE!
i'm really excited to see my sister. if you've read this blog for awhile, you know that my sister and i are super close. we always have our fair share of petty arguments, but as we've grown older, i'm so appreciative of our relationship. and that's something that i'll always be thankful for. thankful for our parents who brought us up this way, and thankful for her being someone who grounds me but will always be up there in the clouds with me.
i'm also thankful for this blog and the world that it's thrown me into.
it's been a serious joy and an absolute pleasure to be blogging about all these gorgeous weddings, details, photography...well just everything. and the support and encouragement from everyone always amazes me. but i think the best part is all the rad friendships.
hope you all have something to be thankful for this year!

welcome to the wedding pantry.
the brainchild of eva chiou,
of red velvet occasions and one of the co-editors of utterly engaged.
i am ever so proud of this girl. and i am ever so lucky to be be able to work with her.
she is a pure example of making things happen.
a few months after i met her, she mentioned this whole idea. and i so enthusiastically encouraged her, helped in whatever way i could, and watched as this came to life.
the crazy thing is once she found the perfect place, she had set and was determined to open the store within a month. from basically a blank and not-so-perfect slate, with the help of her amazing parents, the wedding pantry came about.
i still have to pinch myself with what incredible-ness happened in one month.

"the wedding pantry is the first store of its kind to simultaneously offer brides an environment to shop for one-of-a-kind wedding accessories, relax and sift through magazines and books for inspiration, as well as provide a meeting space for couples and their vendors."

please head on over to the wedding pantry's website.

sadly, it's a huge disappointment for me, that i won't be able to be there to attend.
would love to proudly brag about eva anytime. and just be in that store always.
so please go and check out this amazing space yourself.
and to enjoy and mingle with lots of my dear friends too!
it's such a great space for brides, grooms, and all sorts of wedding vendors.

i can't say it enough, but congratulations eva!

many thanks also to connie m chung for these beautifully clear images.
