huge thanks to
for sending this styled shoot over to share via Two Bright Lights.
from Stacy:
"I have a heart for the DIY bride, so when it came time to style a shoot I
knew I wanted to cater to her. This ultimately led to the concept for
this shoot: an intimate desert wedding with a "love is sweet" undertone.
We set up shop in one of my all time favorite desert locations;
Scorpion Gulch. What was once a general store in the 1930s, is now a
photographer's dream; an abandoned building in the middle of the desert.
The exposed wood beam ceilings with light poking through is enough to
make any photographer swoon! We decided to go with a short, ivory lace
dress for the bride to incorporate a more casual/rustic vibe and a
light-colored suit for the groom for the same reason. The bride's
bouquet and groom's boutonniere were made entirely of fabric and
buttons. The dessert table and 'recipe
in a jar' favors served as the cornerstone for the "love is sweet"
feel."
