{beautify} wedding hairstyle trends 2011

it's 2011 (*throws confetti*)
and thought it'd be fun to share some trends that'd be perfect
for your bridal hairstyle for this year!

here is Caren from Design Visage with her bridal hairstyle visions for the year 2011!

Rita Hayworth, Veronica Lake and Audrey Hepburn would be proud to see their photos in today’s brides’ “wish book”. The “Modern-Vintage” look – defined, placed, almost pin curl, smooth hair – is all the rage for 2011 brides.

Some like the look exactly as in the old black and whites; although, most update the hairstyle by combining the classic with a little modern flair such as a twist, touch of color, or placement of the style. Or some brides are taking a current look and adding a vintage feel (ex- the modern messy side bun with a hint of a large pin curl on the side or an S Curve bang).

As in all style, you will always see both sides of the spectrum. Another hot hairstyle for 2011 is the bohemian-beachy curl, adorned with a braid or two. This style can be as disorganized as Carrie Bradshaw’s in “Sex in the City 2” or as organized as Gisele Bundchen’s; and mostly in between.

Long gone are the Pageant/Prom roller curls. This modern wave is created by curling the hair with a flat iron and leaving the ends out for a natural “just stepped off the beach curl”.

The amount of volume depends on the bride and is created by teasing. Many top this style off with organized or disorganized braids.

And, 2011 brides will continue with the 2010 popular side hairstyle, whether it be smooth or messy.

There are a few important things to keep in mind when choosing your wedding hairstyle.

*   What is the style of your dress and the theme of your wedding? Are you having an elegant affair with a dress worthy of a red carpet premiere? Or are you by the sea with a flowing fabric gown?
*   What is your hair type? Thick, thin, curly, straight? Do you get a headache when you have your hair up? The good news is that with one day clip-in hair extensions you can have almost any hairstyle you want, even if you were not born with perfect locks.
*   How long is your event? Do you plan to have the stylist return to restyle your hair for the reception? A new trend is one style for the wedding and another for the reception.
*   How would you like to adorn your style? Feathers, flowers, crystals, or pearls. The hairstyle often determines what is best.
*   How do you imagine yourself in your wedding photos that will be on your wall for the next twenty years?

Finding a stylist that listens to your wants and can help you try a few different ideas is key.
